New as of last night “Toasty” mesh sweater with color-change HUD. Eight cheerful but winter-y colors make it very versatile.
Have you ever gotten tired in RL so you took a seat in SL? Well the other day I got cold in RL… so I made a sweater in SL! Wearing it invokes all the warm, snuggly, cozy feelings that you would expect when wearing a soft, oversized pullover… almost like a blanket, but one you can wear.
“Toasty” HUD for color options
Face painting for Halloween, turned into Calaveras make-up.
I love Halloween and the holiday that follows it, Dia de los Muertos or “Day of the Dead”. This make up started out as face painting for a Halloween party but before long, it had taken on a life of its own (or death of its own?) and become Calavera make-up!

A not-so-scary scarecrow for Halloween this year.
A close friend of mine suggested this costume and it was really a great fit for Tin. She could stand out in a corn field in a T pose all day, but not a crow would be frightened because this scarecrow is just so cute. The outfit comes with the straw hat, scarecrow make-up and sunflower.
This dress and jacket combination led my mind in so many directions that it was hard to narrow down to just two looks. In the end, the striped jersey knit and bohemian inspired silk dresses won out, both topped with softly worn denim.
The Lanie striped dress comes with a HUD that offers three color options. It’s out at my main store for only 250L. You’ll find it right next to the refugee t-shirts which are free.
The Layna boho inspired dress and jacket have been set out at the TGIF area just outside of Blacklace for only 99L.
I’ll be working on something for Halloween over the next few weeks. If you have ideas or requests, please send them my way!
Making a statement. Be humane.
If you’ve been watching the news reports about refugees scattering all across the world, seeking safety, you have undoubtedly seen a mixed bag of reactions to their migration. Some countries have build barriers to keep them out, while others have welcomed them in; some people have taken advantage of them and even attacked them, while others have fed them and given them shelter.
The quote on the back of this t-shirt is by a Greek woman that saved a refugee from drowning in the ocean. She received thanks from people all over the world, but she said that she doesn’t think she did anything out of the ordinary and would hope that everyone else would have done the same thing. In contrast to the man that allowed over 70 refugees to suffocate in the back of his truck, I think she is amazing and I, too, wish that everyone in the world were like her. A link to a news clip with her interview is below. Her words at the end are the most moving.
Three colors of this t-shirt are available for free at my in-world store, on marketplace, and in the TGIF section outside Blacklace. The vendors may request 1L but then they return it to you afterwards. If they do not, please let me know. The shirts are mesh in standard sizes and I am wearing it over the Maitreya Lara mesh body in the photo.

Shoulder blade boobs. Mesh gone haywire.
Have you ever logged in to SL and sat there for hours without a single soul speaking to you? Read on for a reason to say, “hello,” to me.
Oh! You were expecting to read about original mesh. Yes, in the works for TinRoof Fashion are original mesh creations for the classic avatar and the Slink Physique mesh avatar… if I can ever figure out how to do it properly.
Original mesh seems to be in demand these days, so I’ve given it a go, but it is not a feat for the faint of heart.
If you have ever tried to make your own mesh, you probably have – like me – developed a measure of respect for content creators. Those of us who embellish on or tweak templates are still reliant on those creators to bring new, fresh, and ever-improving mesh to the grid for us to use. Creating the mesh model yourself is a complicated thing.
So far, I have managed to create a blob that looked like a shirt, but fit like a blob. Don’t worry, it won’t be the next TGIF sale item.
A reason to contact me? Well any reason is fine, really, but if you have happen to be or know a blogger that needs sponsors, please let me know. I’m looking to add a few to my list. Bloggers chosen will get a post on the bulletin board in my store, linking to their blog.
The one thing I recall most about St. Patrick’s Day, growing up in the U.S., is that if we didn’t wear green, we would get pinched. I do not know where this tradition started, or what its purpose is, but I wore green every year on March 17th, just in case. In the rare instance that I forgot, a friend was always quick to offer a green pin or hair ribbon to protect me.
I have Irish ancestry, but my family was not Catholic. They were of the Protestant religion and actually wore orange on St. Patrick’s Day to protest the Catholic religion. I could wear orange to carry on the traditions of my heritage, but what is the point really? In matters of religion in the U.S., tolerance is key. I shall not protest your religion and you shall not protest mine.
That said, my newest release is in green, and is called “Don’t Pinch Me”. You can find it in the TGIF area for only 99L through the 17th. Included in the box are system layers for classic avatars, as well as appliers for several mesh bodies – Belleza Venus, Maitreya Lara, Slink Physique, The Mesh Project, and Omega to cover all the others. Wear it in good spirits and don’t pinch anyone, please!
