Call me a visionary. I “googled” my second life and found a store in real life called Tin Roof and they sell cute clothes! It looks like they opened in November of 2017 in a small town in Ohio. Here’s a link to their Facebook page.
I made “Leaves” from a new set of luxurious textures of leaf patterns on neutral backgrounds. The fitmesh for this blouse has such a satin-y drape to it that it needed a silky texture to do it justice. Worn with a grey or chocolate brown skirt, this top makes a flirty entrance to the fall season.
There is still time left to grab it at The Shopping District before it’s moved to the TinRoof main store location. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Archon/71/123/1500
Still inspired by leaves for fall, this cozy but sexy sweater was created exclusively for the WomenStuff Hunt (Nov. 1 – 30).
Two weeks left to come and find it for FREE in the store! Woohoo!
Look for the WomenStuff logo shirt hidden away. See the WomenStuff blog for hints to help you find free items in stores across the grid! https://sl-stuff.com/womenstuff-hints/
I entered several sales events for Halloween this year. The red and black gown below is for the “Salem” event at Garden of Shadows. If you’re reading this on Halloween, you still have a few hours to go get it! It comes with a necklace and the glowing red particle effects that can be added.
This purple gown with black lace trim is for the free (yes I said FREE!) Blacklace hunt. If you are reading this on Halloween, hurry and go pumpkin hunting because that place is loaded with some amazing prizes! This one is split into three parts. You have find the shoulder raven, the mask, and dress in three different pumpkins. Happy hunting 🙂
This cute top is called “Skully”. It’s in the TinRoof mainstore and on marketplace for only 149L. If you celebrate Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos, this is perfect for you! The HUD has six colors to choose from. This is fitmesh for Slink, Belleza, Maitreya, and JOMO Fox and Werewolf. (I know, right?)
Have you ever torn up a t-shirt to make a halter or tank top?
Have you ever torn up a t-shirt to make a halter or tank top? I’ve seen several of these on Pinterest and have meant to try my hand at making one. When I stumbled upon this mesh model, I just new that it HAD to be a tie-dyed t-shirt, torn and tied in the back with denim jeans. It would look so cute with cut-off shorts, so that may be my next project.
This is a Womenstuff Hunt prize, so I didn’t spend a lot of time with details. I may do another one with edge seams and more shadows to give it dimension. The hunt runs from April 1st (no joke) to the 30th. That sounds like a lot of time but there are well over a hundred stores, so you can hunt a handful of stores each day and never run out!
…the front panels reminded me of flower petals…
“Daisies” was inspired purely by the mesh model used to make this top. The shape of the front panels reminded me of flower petals and it just screamed “TinRoof” to me… so I bought it. The fabric is a breezy linen in six colors, though the black and white are actually my favorites. They go with anything!
In addition to the fabric texture, the buttons and the trim have also been customized.
*** A special color of this top can also be found hidden in the TinRoof main store for the Women’s Stuff Hunt until Aug 31st. ***
Dragonflies and summer just go hand in hand, if you ask me…
Dragonflies and summer just go hand in hand, if you ask me… along with cicadas and June bugs, but they aren’t as pretty to put on a top to wear.
These beautiful insects are a symbol of spiritual awakening in some parts of the world, and they are feared in others. I personally consider them to be a sign that I have walked outside far enough into nature, and slowed down far enough, to notice them. This is a good thing.
This strapless top donned with dragonflies is finished off with lace-covered trim and a bright bow. Pair it with your favorite cut-off shorts and you’ve got the perfect lazy summer outfit.
The box includes 5 standard sizes, which are classic mesh. It also includes several “fitmesh” sizes that are compatible with currently popular mesh bodies including:
- Belleza – Venus, Isis and Freya
- Maitreya – Lara
- Slink – Physique and Hourglass
- Tonic – Curvy and Fine
- and TMP.
New as of last night “Toasty” mesh sweater with color-change HUD. Eight cheerful but winter-y colors make it very versatile.
Have you ever gotten tired in RL so you took a seat in SL? Well the other day I got cold in RL… so I made a sweater in SL! Wearing it invokes all the warm, snuggly, cozy feelings that you would expect when wearing a soft, oversized pullover… almost like a blanket, but one you can wear.
